Teacher Introduction

Yoga Teacher - A Street Studio

Vrnda has taught yoga for over 25 years to adults and children of all ages. Having healed herself of the need for recommended spinal surgeries using yoga in her twenties, she learned first hand the therapeutic benefits of yoga physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually and dedicated herself to being both a student and teacher of the practice. Having traveled to India, Vrnda embarked on a journey that lead to initiation into the path of Bhakti Yoga.

Placing emphasis on safety and alignment in yoga postures to maximize the benefits of the poses and use of props to meet individual needs and aspirations, Vrnda’s teaching offers a foundation for numerous styles of yoga and movement practices.

Vrnda’s goal is to meet students where they are, encouraging them to explore their potential mindfully, while respecting individual capacity. She weaves humor, mindfulness practices and the philosophy and history of Patanjali’s 8-fold system of yoga into her classes, reminding students to consciously bring yogic wisdom into daily life.
